Lam Research will invest about Rs 10,000 crore in India for its first silicon-component manufacturing facility and an R&D expansion - a global process-equipment major moving into the tools-and-materials layer that India still imports almost entirely, and the part of the stack that packaging and mature-node fabs do not fix.
