India Tests Its First Indigenous Long-Range Attack Drone - Capability Shown, Not Yet Fielded
Private firm IG Defence completed trials at Pokhran of the KAL, reported as India's first indigenous long-range one-way ("kamikaze") attack drone, with a strike range put at up to 1,000 km. It moves India's long-range loitering-munition ambition from RFIs and orders (Signals S-049, S-053) toward a demonstrated home-grown system - though a successful trial is a capability milestone, not a fielded, series-produced weapon.
