India’s Drone Sovereignty Problem Is Moving Inside the Firmware

The Indian Army has established AASHVAST, a New Delhi facility that examines military drones for hidden credentials, remote-access paths, unauthorised firmware, risky foreign components and behaviour under GPS spoofing or jamming. The important shift is not another drone platform. It is the attempt to make software provenance and electronic integrity part of defence acceptance and sustainment.
