India’s Electronic-Grade Chemicals and Process Materials, 2026–2035
India will buy about USD 86 million of electronic-grade process chemicals, gases and related consumables in 2026, rising to USD 196 million in 2030 and USD 264 million in 2035 on the base case (scenario range USD 154–396 million). The market is smaller, later and more solar-led than the public conversation assumes: in 2035 solar cell lines buy 63% of it, packaging plants 19% and wafer fabs 18%, with fab demand starting only when Dholera reaches volume in 2028. Import dependence falls from 57% to 45% on a location basis, but counting only molecules made in India it is still 62% in 2035. The binding constraint for Indian suppliers is customer qualification and its infrastructure — certified packaging, trace-metal analytics, chain of custody — not plant capital, and Semicon 2.0's 30% capex support does not yet pay for it. This 55-page report rebuilds the market bottom-up, facility by facility, maps six categories and 16 product families, tests the Tanfac contract anchor, screens entry routes for contestable revenue, scores twelve Indian companies and sets out seven risk cases and an implementation roadmap; every figure traces to a formula-driven model with 53 validation tests.
