India and Brazil Move to Cooperate on 5G/6G, Open RAN and Digital Infrastructure

India and Brazil signed a telecommunications and ICT cooperation MoU in Pune on 21 August 2026 on the BRICS sidelines, covering AI, 5G/6G, Open RAN, LEO satellites and digital public infrastructure - a broad framework for digital-sovereignty coordination between two major democracies, though no funded deployment has yet been announced.
