CSIR-NAL unveils three indigenous micro gas-turbine engines for unmanned defence systems

CSIR-NAL unveiled the NJ-05, NJ-50 and NJ-100 micro and small gas-turbine engines on 25 August 2026, with thrust capacities of 5 kg, 50 kg and 100 kg. The engines are intended for tactical UAVs, drone interceptors and compact missile systems, creating a domestic propulsion option for small unmanned and defence platforms.
