The Rs 661 Crore BrahMos Contract Is About the Shipboard Kill Chain, Not Just the Missile

The Ministry of Defence signed a Rs 661.50 crore contract with BrahMos Aerospace on 6 October for fire-control systems and launchers for Indian Navy ships, under Buy (Indian-IDDM) with at least 68% indigenous content. The order covers the shipboard layer that turns target data into a launch, so the test is how much of that layer is Indian-controlled.
