BEL Proposes Rs 600 Crore Defence Electronics Unit at Chitrakoot in Bundelkhand

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has proposed a Rs 600+ crore investment (initial outlay Rs 562.5 crore) for a defence manufacturing and MRO facility at the Chitrakoot node of the UP Defence Industrial Corridor. The state High-Level Empowered Committee approved a Letter of Comfort on 11 August, with the proposal now advancing through state approval.
