Palakkad node
Palakkad is the flagship of the Kochi extension and one of the more advanced nodes in the whole programme: Kerala awarded the EPC for trunk infrastructure to a Dilip Buildcon–PSP Projects JV (₹1,115 cr) in September 2025, with ~82% of the 1,710-acre site acquired. Construction-stage, ahead of most peers.
Industries coming up
Infrastructure & connectivity
- 1,710 acres (Pudussery Central, Pudussery West, Kannambra); ~82% land acquired
- Project cost ₹3,806 cr; investment potential ₹8,729 cr; ~51,000 jobs
- EPC by Dilip Buildcon–PSP Projects JV (₹1,115 cr, 42 months)
Incentives & land: Kerala industrial incentives; first NICDP node in the country to award its core-infrastructure EPC.
Anchor tenants & demand signals
No anchor tenants or MoUs are publicly recorded yet — at a greenfield IMC, plots are allotted only after trunk infrastructure is built, so the absence of named tenants this early is expected, not a red flag. The node is at trunk-infrastructure construction; anchor industrial tenants are not yet public. Its early EPC award (the first under NICDP) puts it ahead of most newer nodes on delivery.
